The City of Fulton, Kentucky is recruiting for the position of City Manager. The City of Fulton is a vibrant historical community situated in far western Kentucky, approximately a three hour drive from St. Louis, Nashville and Memphis. Dedicated to preserving the integrity of a true small-town southern environment, the City of Fulton offers boutique shopping, ﬁne dining and luxurious overnight accommodations, all situated in the heart of our charming downtown. The City of Fulton is a sustainable rural community with weekend park movie nights, a summer collegiate baseball team, and events including a country music festival and the annual Banana Festival. Entertainment is always just a quick walk away, but if transportation is needed, Fulton offers the convenience of a local Amtrak station, regional airport and interstate access. This is an administrative and supervisory position and the individual must be capable of managing employees in a multitude of department areas; becoming familiar with all city systems; understanding, planning, and formulating a city budget and overseeing the budget administration in a ﬁscally responsible manner. Any applicant must have a thorough knowledge of city management procedures and public administration policies. The City Manager candidate will have a strong background in ﬁnance, economic development, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate for this position should have a bachelor's degree, and/or ﬁve (5) years of municipality or management experience, together with other executive or administrative skills.
